Video game industry veteran Vince Zampella has died following a crash on Southern California’s Angeles Crest Highway. He was 55.

Video game development figure Vince Zampella, known for the creation of the hit “Call of Duty” franchise, has died, Electronic Arts said Monday.

The head of Respawn Entertainment was involved in a single-car crash outside of Los Angeles, according to a local news station.
