Cause of death still unknown for boy found dead in Walker County woods with dog by his side
An autopsy of the 4-year-old boy found dead two days after he wandered off from his father’s Walker County home showed no signs of trauma or assault, authorities announced Monday. Volunteer searchers found the body of Johnathan “John John” Boley shortly before 1 p.m. Friday. He was about two miles from his father’s home.

WALKER COUNTY — A Walker County man has been arrested on several sexual abuse charges, where the victim was a minor. An affidavit from the Walker County Sheriff’s Office states that 62-year-old Terry Wren Price of Rossville was arrested on multiple charges. These include Rape, Aggravated Sodomy, and Aggravated Child Molestation.
Walker County Sheriff Nick Smith said a group that calls itself “More than Profit/Prophet Ministries” had been living in tents at a five-acre property in Empire illegally for months. Smith said up to 40 people at times lived at the property.
Walker County Sheriff Nick Smith shared that on Wednesday night, Jan. 7, the sheriff’s office launched literacy classes for inmates. The classes are done through a partnership with the Literacy Council at Jasper Area Family Services Center.
