I'm with @lyndseyfifield. There are a lot of lessons to be learned from this saga. One lesson is that your stereotype of those who commit domestic abuse is wrong. There are varieties of abusers, not just one type. Some are very charming, exceptionally manipulative, & predatory. When the mask comes off, it's a "Jekyll and Hyde" moment.
